EOC Week 11 Final Evaluation: Forced Choice

1. Kiri Smith: I believe Kiri did the best in the project, as she followed the directions and had her quotes and everything, so she was the winner in my eyes on this project.

2. Chris Hall: Chris did a great job on his project, but he was missing his quotes, which ended up him being second on my list.

3. Nina Redna: Nina did a nice job on her project, I had a hard time choosing between her and Chris who got second and who got third, but it looked like she put a little less effort into her project then Chris did.

4. Lana Cunningham: Missing one part of the final project, she at least had quotes and they were in a different color.

5. Joaquin Lares: He at least put effort into finding a lawyer to answer some of his questions, he just never finished the rest of his blogs.

6. Angel Donohew: She at least did part of the final project, but life gets in the way and I can understand that.

7. Kellie Ward: Among everyone else, I did the least, I never blogged for this project, but I did contact a lawyer about some questions. I just didn't have the time to work on this project.

Final Project

All I can say was this was a great class. The movies that were shown and the things that were discussed, I learned a lot from these things that I never knew about and probably won’t forget. This class has taught me so much and now I can better protect my photos and myself from people stealing and claiming things as their own. This class has also taught me that lawyers are sometimes people you can count on and at other times are not people you can depend on.

            The reason why there is no final project here is because there isn’t enough time in a day to work on 5 different projects at once and juggle 4 days of school and work the rest of the 3 days that I’m not in school. I don’t have the best time management when under pressure, which ended in result of loosing time and not getting the project down. I asked one question though, and a lawyer did answer, so I at least contacted a lawyer for the project.

            I’ll understand if I have to take this class again, I will just have to make sure if I take it again, I take less classes to begin with so I can have more time to finish the final project and keep up to date with everything needed.

A stingy old lawyer who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness was determined to prove wrong the saying, "You can't take it with you." Week 6 EOC; Illicit

Sometimes people aren’t aware of buying illicit things, like handbags, or clothing, or jewelry, or drugs. They may think that they are buying a rip off, but they never think anything of it, and what they are doing or causing to the original owner of who made the product that is being reproduced illegally. I know it seems a lot easier and cheaper to buy a knockoff of the real thing, but it’ll never be the real thing. That’s why it’s illegal.

Though it may seem hard for the people who are the one reproducing these illegal things, wanting to provide for their families and what not, I’m glad that their countries have undercover people to go into these places and are able to shut them down, especially the ones who are making fake drugs. 

Week 5 EOC; Lawyers Looking For Fame

     Looking to find a lawyer who thinks he’s more important then the case was something I didn’t want to do, I wanted to find something different, but still related to this topic. I stumbled upon this news article and when I read it, I knew I had my topic.

     “The young lawyer wanted to be taken seriously and make a name for himself, but he had a problem: His name is Justin Bieber. "I started getting 50 to 60 friend requests a week on Facebook," the 32-year-old—he's twice the age of the omnipresent pop star—tells the Philadelphia Inquirer, "and all of these messages that said, 'I love you' or 'I love it when you sing.'"

     Rather than drop his first name, Justin Bieber, Esq., uses his full name, Justin Matte Bieber. He even started advertising. "I've gotten several phone calls each week since the ads came out, and I've already picked up a few clients," he reports. It's not a bad strategy, says a marketing professor.      This man wasn’t looking for fame, but he found it once everyone knew his name. The only thing I hope doesn’t happen to this man is he starts getting full of himself because of his name and abusing his powers. As long as he maintains a good personality and doesn’t become a complete butthead, I think this accidental fame will work out well for Justin M. Bieber.

Week 2 EOC; What I think about lawyers

            When I think of lawyers, I think of liars. I have never had to deal with lawyers personally, but watching movies like “Liar, Liar” with Jim Carey, “Erin Brockovich” with Julia Roberts, and “And Justice for All”, I can just get a feel for what a lawyer really does. They help criminals get off amazingly horrible crimes, and sometimes lawyers are incredibly unreliable. Of course, this is all what I think, I wouldn’t actually know, but I do know that lawyers have to lie to win their cases, even if they are lying for all the wrong reasons, they seem to mostly be in it for the money.

            The two movies I really appreciate though that have to do with lawyers is “My Cousin Vinny” and “Law Abiding Citizen”.  “Law Abiding Citizen” really opened my eyes in what lawyers had to do, especially in a murder case, and what hoops they have jump through and what risks they have to take, and what deals that have to make in certain cases. To really even think that someone could outsmart a lawyer though is mind-boggling. In “My Cousin Vinny”, even though at first it didn’t seem like the lawyer knew didn’t know what he was doing, he eventually learned the ways of the court and that everything a defense attorney would normal conjure up would be just an illusion, one that could possibly fool the jury and everyone in the court as well to think what they wanted them to think.

            I suppose it all depends on what type of lawyer you have to deal with and what type of case it is that you need one in the first place. Otherwise, I hope I don’t have to deal with lawyers anytime soon, as I don’t have the money to even begin to think of paying for one. 

Week 1 EOC; About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a camera in one hand and a pencil in the other. Finishing my high school education, I went ahead to pursue my passion behind the camera and learn more about my soon-to-be tools of the trade. I’ve already had that eye for spotting detail or that something special when looking through the camera lenses, I wanted to perfect my skills in the field.

From capturing those special moments between families, the fun times between friends, beautiful landscapes during those family trips or vacations, or those quirky animals, be a dog or cat, I’ve always loved what nature has to provide to us. Venturing out to become a world wide known photography, I want to give it my all in pleasing my clients with their unique photos and be well known for the quality in my pictures.

Keeping my dream alive and my passion still burning, I have the support from my friends and family to keep me going, and the clients that I meet to continue my interest in finding those unique pictures that no one else has taken or composing a completely new idea for an image that no one has thought of. So that is the thrill of my life, through my lense.
